MYRTLE BEACH LOOKBOOK

This past weekend, June 24th to the 28th, my boyfriend and I took a mini baecation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
We decided to do it road trip style instead of flying. Let's just say, we can cross that off our bucket list - but it probably won't be happening again any time soon. If you're from Jersey, you know from Jersey to SC is a little over 10 hours, not including rest stops. It was quite the adventure, you could say.

We did so many fun activities like Ripley's Aquarium, mini golf, and going to an alligator farm.
If you'd like to see our vacation vlog - just click HERE.

Since we were constantly on the go and it was like 100 degrees there (well not really, but it sure felt like it) - it was hard to keep up with OOTD pictures, but I did manage to get pictures of two of my favorite outfits from the trip, courtesy of my amazing boyfriend.

For more information on the outfits, just scroll down! xo

This outfit I wore on the second day of vacation.
We were going to go to the alligator farm, mini golfing, and to Ripley's Believe it or Not.
I decided to go with this simple outfit of just a plain white T and some shorts because it was very hot outside. Yet, I knew that inside Ripley's, it may be a bit chillier with the air conditioner on, so I threw the plaid top around my waste just in case.
I added the Adidas because I knew we would be doing a lot of walking that day (I was right - ouch did my feet hurt).
My accessories were my favorite part of this outfitChokers are SO in right now so I had to incorporate one into this outfit. Chokers will definitely be taking over this summer so buy as many as you can now before they sell out! My favorite store to find some good ones is definitely Windsor
I didn't think just the choker was enough so I also threw on a black cord necklace and they go together perfectly.

This is the outfit I wore on our last day on vacation.
We went to a really fancy Italian restaurant so I decided to dress it up just a little bit while still keeping the casual feel.
To me, a white tube top always gives off a simply effortless semi-fancy vibe, especially with the long gold knot necklace I threw on top.
The bright coral high waisted shorts really threw this whole outfit together. You always need a pop of color during the summer months, especially when you're working with white and black articles like my tube top and sandals.
Finally, I have been wearing these black sandals non-stop. They go with everything and anything and they are super comfortable.
I will also be doing a YouTube video on this makeup look right here, a simple dewy summer bronzed tutorial, this week - so look out for that!

QUAY AUSTRALIA X DESI PERKINS COLLAB

Recently Quay Australia and YouTuber, Desi Perkins, came out with an amazing sunnies collab.
The collab consists of four gorgeous sunglasses: High Key Black, High Key Gold, TYSM, and On The Low.
Once I saw these sunglasses in Desi's preview video, I knew I had to have them all.. However, the way my bank account is set up, I had to settle for just one pair.. For now.
I had the pleasure of being able to purchase High Key Black (pictured above and below). I've been a subscriber and loyal fan of Desi for a while now and I had yet to purchase my first pair of Quay sunnies so when I saw Desi was coming out with her own line, I had to jump on that.
The sunglasses released Thursday, June 9th, 2016 and they are releasing for the last time online tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21st, 2016 at 9AM PST (12PM EST). However, Desi assured us that they will be sold in select stores that sell Quay sunnies. WHEW!

When I first got my sunglasses in the mail, I was so excited to try them out. They are perfect for no-makeup days, when you just roll out of bed in the morning and throw them on for that "i'm not trying but I still look cute" look.
I recently went to Pennsylvania with my boyfriend for the weekend and brought minimal makeup with me, so these sunglasses saved my life. They're big, but not too big to the point of becoming overwhelming.
Each pair is $60 plus shipping and tax. My total came out to $65.00 all together.
Not bad at all for such gorgeous fashionable sunnies.
I already know these will be my most used and favorite sunglasses for this summer.
If you have the chance, I highly recommend getting your hand on a pair of these sunglasses!

Congratulations, Desi Perkins!

KIM KARDASHIAN CANNES 2016 TUTORIAL

Welcome back loves!
Last week was the Cannes Film Festival and I saw on Makeup By Mario's instagram the look he did on Kim Kardashian and I fell in love. It was so simple but yet so elegant and I knew I wanted to recreate it for you guys with a little twist - this tutorial can be used for any eye shape but I focused more on people with hooded eyes, like myself. I will have another video up later on this week, so be on the look out for that! If you guys would like a tutorial on how I did my hair in this video (although it was pretty quick and easy) let me know down in the comments! If you guys have any other celebrity inspired tutorials you'd like me to recreate from Cannes or the Billboard Awards or any ideas in general, let me know on my social media or down in the comments! :) Have a wonderful week and Happy Monday XO
P.S. If you recreate this look or any of my other looks - i'd love to see them! Hashtag #glambykait on Instagram or tag me so I can check them out XO

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: ARTIST MAKEUP ACADEMY

Hello Beauty Lovers,
Last month I made the decision to attend and become a Artist Makeup Academy student. For those who have never heard of this school, it is a wonderful, well-known beauty school in Hoboken, New Jersey run by amazingly talented makeup artists. Tons of celebrity makeup artists and YouTubers have attended this academy for events, workshops, and also just to stop by and say hello. To name a few like Carli Bybel and Hrush. As soon as I saw the Artist Makeup Academy instagram, I knew this was the school for me and taking a tour and talking with the girls there today just validated that even more. They made me feel so at home and so welcome, like I had known them all forever. I even got to meet my future teacher and she was a sweetheart. I am starting in September and I could not be happier or more excited. I know this is the right decision for me to expand my makeup knowledge and help me pursue my passion as a makeup artist. I highly recommend all of my subscribers and readers to check this school out if you are in the NJ area. I will keep everyone updated on my journey at this school once I start.
